Q: Does the script have to be 10 pages?

A: No, we would like to keep the finished short films to around 10 minutes or less. Therefore, you may submit a script that is less than 10 pages, but please don’t go over.

 

Q: Do we have to shoot the entire film in the Post 43 Clubhouse?

A: No, you are welcome to shoot your project wherever you would like. We are simply providing the clubhouse as part of the value of participating in this competition.

 

Q: Are there any fees to shoot at the Post 43 clubhouse, for example, a site rep?

A: No, there are no fees to shoot at the Post 43 clubhouse. The competition will provide the site rep. Although, currently teams will be required to provide their own production insurance.

 

Q: Do we need production insurance?

A: Yes, at this time teams will be required to provide their own production insurance.

 

Q: Union or Non-Union and SAG requirements

A: It is up to the individual team whether they decide to shoot union or non-union. If a team does decide to shoot union, this falls under the Micro-Budget category in the competition’s contract. Micro-Budget is defined as under $20,000. If going union, producers will be required to register the production on the SAG website. ( Few simple questions such as date, location, and production group. No fee )
